3x20s last night too. Set my power and my hr was 167, 170, and 173.

I do 5 minute rests on 20 minute intervals (at 90%-95% ftp)--I was reading an article by Charles Howe saying threshold and below intervals only need enough of a break to mentally recover.

Ex refuses the trainer in all but the most blinding of snowstorms. This is not because Ex is a hard man, but rather that Ex hates the trainer with a passion normally reserved for infidels by suicide bombers. Ex looks at those who ride the trainer with great expectations and furiousity the same way a six week old puppy looks when you explain the nuances of DNA to her.

None of this though, changes the fact that REST IS FOR WUSSY!

gsteinb

Are you kidding me? Rest is the most important part of training.

Man, some of the stuff that gets posted on BF is just nutty.

My goal is to have gsteinb's next thread start with "I fell off my trainer".

I've got to go do some form sprints in 60 degree weather now. Kinda thinking I should wait till it warms up a bit though. The cold is tough on the old bones.

Ex, you funny.:roflmao2:

I did 3 x this hill this morning.

http://www.trailguru.com/wiki/index.php/Track:2SMK

It was a chilly 55 degrees out there with just a little wind and clear blue skies.

Hope the weather is this nice for the race on New Year's Day.

My E-motions just showed up this morning. They are awesome! Feels very roadish. Have already done some out-of-saddle riding.

We should totally ride together! Virtually that is.

I need to install a range expander for the Wi-Fi in order to use a webcam in the trainer room, but that's a good idea. That way I can start an indoor bicycling chat room for online hecklers.

the thought of 3x20's makes me ill. But i have started to train indoors on the VR trainer as well and I must say that it is kicking my ass. Did a hilly 20 mile VR route last night in 54 min with a avg power of 298 watts...not bad if the data is anywhere near accurate. Laying in bed afterwords my legs were complaining. Props to DJODonnell for providing excellent feedback pre-purchase...

I have to admit, that having the computer handy makes putting monster trainer hours in very palatable for me. If my wi-fi were down I really doubt I could last 90 minutes. Talk about kryptonite.
