Recreational & Family - Topeak seat or CoPilot Limo?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

They seem similar and/or equivalent. Is there any big negative for either one or just I just buy whichever is more convenient? This is for a 1 1/2 yr old, to mount on a Giant Cypress DX hybrid. I'll be leaving the rack on the bike for longer & errand rides, and both seem to have quick release/mount for the seat on the rack.

Both are about equal in all regards. Best to buy on price between those two models.

update: Bike Nashbar had the Topeak seat plus rack for $89 on sale, minus 20% holiday coupon, so only $72 before shipping. I got it last week and did the rack install. I also got some Townie panniers for shopping. Too bad it will probably be March-April before the weather is nice enough to try with the kid in back.

As mentioned above, they are both quality child seats. I have used both in our shop and had no complaints with either one. Another one to consider is the Giant Progeny http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/partsaccessories/familycycling/211/26908/ It is one of the easiest seats to take on & off and comes with 2 seat liners (boy & girl). The drawback is that it's a little heavier than the others.
Best of luck!
Tom
