I am going to be purchasing a Shimano clipless pedal set and would like the advice from some experienced
riders,(as I am a newbie.)

Should I get the PD-M520s or the PD-A515s. They both look like they'd be great to put on my bike but..I don't know enough about either one of them to make a decision. If any of you have any experiences with one/both of these clipless pedals, please let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks in advance!

I rode 515's for 2 years and also had few complaints. I think is has a lot to do with shoes though. 516's are a fairly small contact patch and are probably best with stiff shoes. I used cheap shimano mtb shoes for road riding that were surprisingly good. I recently upgraded to dura ace 7750's and Carnac quartz shoes. This combo solved the few complaints I had.

It all depends on what you're looking for. I used to ride the 515s with a mountain shoe. I have problems with my plantar ligament, so I think the small cleat put too much pressure on one spot. I recently got the R600 pedals with the R151 shoes...it's like a whole different world.

I just got a some 520's so far they have been great but then again I've only ridden about 20 miles since I've had them. The reveiws on roadbikereveiw.com are favorable for this pedel as well.
