Foo - Misaligned! By a whooping 1.3 centimeters

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
No wonder it was hurting like hell... herniated disk in between the L5 & S1 vertebrates, out of place by a whooping 1.3 centimeters. Now awaiting appointment with the specialist on the matter to decide what to do... but primary doc is 99% sure this means spinal surgery for mah and they probably have to fuse those vertebrates to keep it from falling apart like a game of Jinga.
I am now starring at a ruller. 1.3 centimeters is a freaking lot! :(

I am glad to hear they are onto the issue, which means they're on their way to having you all fixed up soon.
You will be assimilated, resistance is futile.
As a fellow cyborg let me be the first to say 0100100100100000011010000110111101110000011001010010000001110100011010000110010100100000011100110111 0101011100100110011101100101011100100111100100100000011001110110111101100101011100110010000001110111 01100101011011000110110000101110001000000000110100001010.

sorry to hear that..hope everything works out for you!
The surgery is not fun, but in the spectrum of surgical recovery, it's not too rough. I was up to 80% fairly quickly, 100% took a while but I'm picky.

I got microdisckektomy (sp?) on L5 8 years ago
I never had to take another pain killer again.

I'm looking forward to that.
My main concern is of course to be able to walk around, function normally and hold my children. But it would also suck if I had to give up the road bike. I already had a nightmare of myself riding a recumbent...

Uprights, Dutch bikes, fenders, racks, sprung saddles, Dorothy handlebars, chain cases...
I felt better the moment I woke up. The pain in my back and arm--gone.

As alleng said, the surgery is not fun at all. Sounds like his recovery was much faster than mine, much faster!
Hope yours goes well.
Oh yeah, and be prepared to take the most horrifically painfull dump(s) of your life after.

trust me, many of them don't.

Hey!:notamused: You know you want to join the dark side and ride one...
Seriously, hopefully the surgery goes well and you have a quick and pain free recovery.

Good luck with this Ruben.
