Mountain Biking - I need 29er advice.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. So I'm in the market for either a 07 or 08 29er that the LBS have left in stock. I've been taking tons of rides, getting every sales pitch and so on.
My question is...
I'm stuck between a couple of bike
08 Felt Nine Comp for 900
Felt Nine Comp Link (http://www.feltracing.com/08/product.asp?catid=1516&pid=8765)
or spend the extra 300 for a 2007 Gary Fisher Paragon
Gary Paragon (http://www.fisherbikes.com/archive/model/265)
Does anyone have experiences with either of these bikes?
OR is there a bike that I need to go find instead
Thanks

Yes and the paragon was nice. I also found a 08 Cobia, so I'm going to ride that one tomorrow.
I want to stay under $1K, but its so hard to resist :twitchy:

If you can find an 09 Cobia in your size, go for it. I just got one and the G2 geometry really works. It had a lower stand over than other brands and its longer wheelbase meant a smaller guy like me didn't have to worry about my feet hitting the front tire. I found that it did indeed keep right on track with no deviation. I am very happy.
If it weren't for the Cobia fitting me. I was going to bite on a Jamis Dakota 29er. God components for the $$ but I needed the longer wheelbase of the GF, though it was ok on the Jamis, the Fisher fit me better.

I'd get a model above the cobia, if going the fisher route. Fisher uses custom offset forks, and every model above the cobia has a fox RL, a big step up fromt he tora. UPgrading the tora aftermarket would be hard.
