let's say you found a legitimate cashier's check from a bank that hasn't failed (this narrows the field in '08:rolleyes:) for a decent amount worth recouping, but which is dated, say, 16 years ago?:innocent:

Is there a statue on funds like this? It's an out of state bank, if that matters.....
