Great board and tons on info! Glad I finally found a place to hang out! Anyhow, I need new tires and can't make up my mind from searching on the internet and this site. At the moment, I've narrowed it down to either the wild gripper "hot S" or "sprint s." I ride paved top roads and packed trails, no sand/mud.

Couple of questions:
1) how do these handle paved wet conditions? 2) are they "slick" to the point where I'll be sliding in wet conditions on pavement?

Thanks for the time and help

The Hot-S would not be the way to go. Go for the Sprint S

How about b/t the sprint s and the maxxis high roller? How "soft" is the high roller material?

As for the hot-s, I saw it was a semi slick and couldn't see a good pick of the tread. I have since scene the tread and it's not the way to go....

The hot S is nowhere near a semislick

Go for a set of Maxxis HighRoller SemiSlicks.
