Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Speaking of favorite bars...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
What your favorite, bike oriented/friendly bar?
I like McSorleys in NYC on a Sunday afternoon after a ride because of the atmosphere, ease of keeping my eye on my bike right outside, and the fact that I never get weird looks because of my bike outfit.

For me The Triple Rock Social Club, on the west bank here in Minneapolis.

Not only do they encourage alternative forms of transportation (look at the bottom of their homepage), but they also have a burger/pint for 5$. Not just burgers, but veggie burgers for all of you vegans out there. Not to mention tuesdays are 2 for 1's much drunkeness has occured within those brick walls.
Of course any bar which you can succesfully navigate home from after a couple of beers is good in my book.

I am with you goatmeal. The whole navigating home after a long evening is the key part!

I don't think it ever happened. Weather is getting nicer, and we should make this for a weekend. The weekdays will suck for me.

In one of those rare moments in life, I concur with 165 about meeting on a weekend.
Also: the handlebar is cool and all... but once in a while a guy needs some meat. (165, I don't want to hear some gay bar joke out of you. I do in fact mean beef, as in hamburger.) How's about getting them to but some black angus on the menu? Then, the bar would be awesome!... Not that I wouldn't commit to hanging with you guys there anyways.
Nevertheless, Quenchers is my new favorite bar in Chicago.

A great little pub/bar is Jury's. Neighborhood atmosphere (not a 'biker' bar but nice), great burgers, good beer selection and a rear deck. Lincoln Ave and Pensacola Ave.

Is that in Lincoln Square?

true - however, quite frequently i get that extra vegan-powered tailwind, everything helps.. especially heading north on the lakepath. :)

McGlinchys....awesome! I go there a lot... Cheap beer and lots of fixed gear bikes chained up outside to look at. If you see the "nocoins" bike with a raingutter as a makeshift fender outside, you will know I am inside.... and probably drunk. I live a few blocks down from that bar.
I dont know McKenna's.... where is that? ...$1 pints...and its not PBR...sign me up.
