What is the biggest, heaviest, or most awkward load you have ever carried with your bike or bike trailer? I am curious because I have carried a lot of crazy stuff in my trailer. heaviest was a move of 5 miles the only thing I did not move with the bike trailer was my bed. I could think of no way to strap it down LOL. Post pics if you have them. This should actually be a lot of fun

I guess the most ackward load I had to deal with was a messenger bag with a frame/2 wheels, while ghost riding another bike. It wasn't too bad though, with fixed gear I didn't need to worry about using my brake, just slowed my feet....

Yeah fixed gears rock.

There is a guy here in Ames, Iowa who has a delivery service. Jim delivers all kinds of stuff--some of it quite big. And he does it year around. He also manufactures industrial strength bike trailers. Check out this link to his service with an image of him with a very big load!

Just a bicycle wheel, and a long plank of wood.

Me!

(I know this answer has been used before in a similar thread, so my apologies to the original "most awkward load")

Or perhaps a sea kayak (on a trailer).

Can't think right now...probably nothing worth mentioning right now.

But I did see a lady on her bike while I was riding home from work--she had her left hand on another bike, riding parallel. I thought, "Dang, I'd probably crash into myself!"

lets see...i've carried five 6ft 2x4's, three to a side, in panniers, upright with bungee cords. Towed a large rolling suitcase to the laundromat. And once, a road bike strapped to my backpack at 4 am...long story short: Wife's bike + night out with the girls + lost keys + bad neighborhood + cheap lock = riding with bike strapped on.

I would have just held it beside me and rolled it home but some jerk tacoed the rear wheel while it was locked up.
