You're halfway there. Use the "Search The Forums" link and you'll pull up 438 posts on "Giant Halfway". I'm sure you'll find something of interest to you among them.

I've ridden my Giant Halfway for three plus years all year round commuting from Danvers MA to Boston using the commuter rail. The bike has held up well, still looks near new. I have had to have drive train components replaced a couple times due to wear. Not a huge expense given price etc. I ride this bike almost every day.

The bike is not fast but cruises at a good speed for an urban environment. Fenders are nice when weather is less than ideal. Folding this bike is quick an easy. If I were purchasing a folding bike now I would consider the Halfway, though I like the looks of the Xootr Swift, and the Dahon P8. Most folks I see have Dahons around here.

I would be happy to answer any specific questions you have!

I have a Giant Halfway. I think the bike is great for people that don't ever want to tinker with their bike. It comes with everything you need, including a rack. The fold is decent and quick.

The only downside for mine was the latch mechanism. It started to wear (possibly due to my weight) after heavy use. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a replacement part from Giant. It's just not something that could be replaced.

It's a good bike. I enjoyed it while I could ride it, but once I started looking for other bikes and test riding... I was blown away by how good some of the higher end bikes were. So... yeah... The Halfway is a good gateway drug into the wacky world of folding bikes. I hope it serves you well for a long time.
