It gets cold, so I wear gloves. But gloves are annoying because I need the right thickness or I get either cold or sweaty. Also, as I start off on a cold day I need more insulation. Why not adjustable heated grips? I'm already running a dynamo in front for my headlight -- why not have a handwarming system run off that?
That's pretty inefficient. Why would you use air conditioning in a convertible?

The standard dynamo hubs and bottle dynamos put out only 3 watts. Standard dynamo headlights take 2.4 to 3 watts. The higher the dynamo output the more power in to run it so drag would be MUCH worse with a dynamo that put out enough power to run electric gloves or heated grips. Probably a lot worse than the added weight of a battery pack to run electric gloves, which are made.
