So...
I've ordered a E8500 and a Zalman cooler, and just ordered a EVGA GTX260. I'm getting the box ready for a 24" monitor that we'll get with part of the tax refund. I got a bit silly when I got the box, it's a massive ark of a thing called the CM Stacker.

A few of the new games can use a sophisticated physics program by AGEIA.
But it takes massive amounts of computing power to utilise. The GTX GPU has an insane amount of transistors, over a billion. With that kind of power things move in a more lifelike way.

Now they just have to make some games that take full advantage of what this puppy can do.

Btw, I just found out that they make Solid State Drives for the PC now. Think I'll
get one when it's time to go 64 bit.

Don't you have a wall just sitting around lonely? The now-defunct ISP/repair shop I used to visit just used an entire wall. I have enough space to do 60-70" diag in 4:3 and smaller in 16:9 and in my bedroom of all things. While this would be cool for watching concerts on laserdiscs in my case (I don't game much other than pinball) and mine are 1997 models, you could get a used projector or at least a 50" big screen (they are dirt cheap now as people start to practically GIVE old TVs away on Craigslist here) and be for freaking out when they your online pals start shooting at you or something. Keep in mind there can be beasts that eat repairmen and LOOK at them...some people actually aren't giving away broken sets.

Life sized ain't bad.

The room my computer is in is roughly 8' by 9'....
If I did that I'd have my nose pressed up against the screen:D
