Would you consider these as racing wheels? which is more recommended? or you have something else in mind at a similar price.

Well, the Bontrager's are 125 grams lighter, but also about $150 more. If you're using these more for racing than you are for every day riding/training and fit American Classic's weight reccommendation (180lbs), American Classic 350's (http://www.amclassic.com/Reviews/Cycling_News_350.html) might be the best bang for the buck. They're 1372grams for front/rear clincher and retail for about $600. But there's a set on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58099&item=3670287232&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) with a little more than a day left if you can decide by then. I'm using the R540's right now and have no gripes with them. If I was a heavier rider, I might be a little concerned about the very low spoke count, but at 130lbs I don't think (at last I hope) I'll be breaking many spokes or causing the wheel to go out of true too much.

The main problem with the Shimano wheels is flex. They flex a lot (2mm) when standing to climb or sprint. Mine flexed enough for the magnet to keep hitting the speed sensor when I stood. They are a good wheel for their low price, but not great for racing. I am 65kg~145pounds

CHEERS.

Hmm, I haven't noticed that and my magnet/sensor are pretty close together (magnet very close to the rim). One other problem could be trueing the wheel. Shimano chose 4.3mm spoke nipples, which aren't a very standard size. Speaking of which, does anyone know of a store that would carry a spoke wrench that would fit?

Do Bontrager Race Lite's have a weight limit? I am 6'0, 220

When I had a set of R535s it came with a small little spoke wrench. I don't have the wheels anymore but I may still have the wrench. I'll check if I still have it. Your welcome to it if I do.

I hear the R535/R540s are tricky to true though.
