Hi, I live in Berkeley so the prices are little higher around here, but the guy is willing to put in campagnolo cranks and a new set of bottom brackets as well. How does it look? He told me it is a late 1980's made in Japan with suntour derailleurs.

I know Centurions have a good reputation and a devoted following, but I forget where the Le Mans is in the batting order.

He once again reduced the price to 150!

That's the number I came up with. I know you're in a seller's market, too. If it's clean, tight, and fits you, you might want to go for it. I had a line on a Centurion earlier this year and missed it, and I've kicked myself once or twice for it. Not to make you feel pressured or anything ;)

A good Centurion Lemans 12 with everything ready to go is easily worth $150 if it's ready to ride. It's a smooth frame and I actually like my 84 Lemans RS better than my 87 Lemans.

The Lemans was an all-around mid-level bike. However, the Tange 2 frame was probably a notch above mid-level. Centurion was adept at providing a good package for the money.

The Suntour used on the Lemans was excellent stuff, smooth and reliable. I'd go $150-$180 local any day on a nice Lemans that fit me. Right now, I just have too many, but I went after and missed a clean Lemans a couple of weeks ago on CL, $175.
