Yep a bit useless unless you happen to be living over there... and do they have any other stores besides this 'flagship' one?

When is the US going to get one of these stores? NYC or DC would be a great location. Heck, I'd be willing to travel from DC to NYC to get another Dahon. Have a speed pro TT and LOVE it!

I am not so sure if such a thing is the right thing in the US to do ......
you open one store by yourself and loose 10 dealers who you are now competing with...... ( and a few dealers more, who just dont like the idea )

Bicycle dealers in the US are living with smaller margins than the rest of the world , they also call themseles IBD that stands for Independent Bicycle Dealer ..... ( most of the better ones are fiercely Independant, after all thats what makes them go up in the morning) .....a lot of big companies rather forget the I in front of the Dealer .....

A so called company store or flaggship store is good for the ego but not good for customer service in general...

Well, if the company stores will be like the apple stores, it would be great--products and services in one go. But if it's just sales, then yeah, better service will be had from independent dealers.

I would like to go visit the place as it looks like a really neat store. Unfortunately I have been unable to find the exact location. All it says is something like "beside the most popular bike path in Taichung". I don't have a folder, but my Ritchey BreakAway is what the former Dahon Allegro and current Tournado are based on. As an aside, when I checked out the Allegro a few years back, I found out that Dahon didn't sell the bike in Taiwan, even though the frames are built here. Not enough market here, I guess...
