Mountain Biking - Pros/Cons of Shimano WH-M575 wheelset

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Planning on getting them.
The only weaknesses i've found for them are that they are abit heavy.

I've got those on my MTB , had em about 6 weeks now, these are the ones that you can use either vee brakes or discs , and they are great, no problems with them going out of true and they look very cool aswell and very strong .

God help you if you ding the rim though. You can't exactly go to your local shop and have them pull a new rim off the shelf. I don't know what you're paying but for about $500 you should be able to have your local shop order you a pre-built set of wheels from Chris King. The rim brake ones are essentially the old Bontrager Race Lites and the disc wheels are Race Disks with 32h King hubs instead of the crappy Formula 28h ones. King hubs are the single best investment I have made for any of my bikes. (I have 3 sets) You will not be disappointed.

Don't bother me none If I wreck a rim , I work in a bike shop , and have already asked shimano about parts availability.. No probs they said rims, spokes , hubs .. they carry the spares ..:D

parts or no parts, I'll take the King stuff every time. To each their own.
