Since I've been cycling I've ridden with national and European champions, but today I got to ride with a world champion. He had the gold UCI medal with him and he gets to wear the colours on his bike and jersey.

Here are his results (http://www.cyclingmasters.com.au/fileadmin/user_upload/2008_Results/Day_1_Session_1.xls), I can only hope I'm that fast when I'm 70. We did a very hilly 50 mile ride in about 3h20m and in April I'm going to head over to his home club to have a go at the track taster sessions.

All in all a very nice day out even if it was freezing cold with ice and someone in our group managed to fall off twice on the ice.

Congratulations on riding with a guy with such good results, and for your own good results.

Closest I've ever come to a world champion was meeting Karpov. :)
