My computer doesn't want to share its IP address with my router. I don't have a clue how to fix this issue.

make sure you use an IBM compliant hammer. An Apple hammer will not sink with your computer.

start, run, type in "CMD" or "COMMAND" (depending on windoze version) "ipconfig/renew" should do it. If you are on a mac or linux you'll need something else. How did you get here by the way, shouldn't work....

I'll give it try. I'm on another computer right now, and I've posted a bit on my iPod.

Nothin. I got nothin. Put the Ethernet cable directly in to the computer and had no connection. This is really starting to worry me as I really don't have the fundage to get it fixed. I tried contacting my computer geeky friend but he just moved out of state and wasn't able to help much.

Hopefully I can sort it out after my test tomorrow morning.

Set an allowable IP address range on your router, then set your computer to one of the ones in the range. That should do it.
