Foo - intern?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

intern, minion, you kid, college boy, etc are my names at work. I dont mind them terribly until today, when I'm sitting here on my spring break looking at windows 2000 install (which is very boring). One thing I have learned in the corp. world is that the less you get paid the more FUn stuff you get to do ("puts the F U back in fun") and this week i really get meaningless tasks that in no way reflects why i was hired. They just need an intern, becuase I'm cheap. ARG! there is light at the end of the tunnel, I will be doing some developing after we move (the reason for doing all this). Come summer I think I'll be fully involved in development and the new building is right across the street from W&OD (best trail in NoVa). Until then, I'm counting the minutes till 5pm where i will flee this building... till 9am tomarrow.
I think my sanity is leaving me....

Hey, I'm watching 4 XP install bars right now, also on my spring break! I'm actually pretty pleased with my job right now. The hours are whenever I show up, I'm left to do my own thing unless I need help, and the pay is about $3 higher than anything else in the area (if a high school student can even find a job that is). I can feel your pain though, a few years ago I had a rather boring job that took all the energy out of me.

its money, dont get me wrong. but I have spent years watching XP, 2K and NT install, i figure i know how it goes, I would rather be doing something else though. In time i guess. Congrats on your job though, i could not find work i wanted to do till college.
