I don't have a power meter, so won't be able to give you those numbers, but can describe the situation for you: Thoroughly warmed up, could be solo or with a group, we'll come to a hill or a crosswind section and the effort will really ramp up. I usually have no problem with it, but if the pace keeps up too long, I get this gradually increasing pain in my legs - almost a burning sensation. It can really hurt sometimes and if it doesn't go away, I have to ease up on the pace/

Any ideas, suggestions?

Sounds like lactic acid buildup. You're anaerobic. If you want the pain to come later, then train to race your threshold so you can put out more power at or before your LT.
