Foo - How well does your BikeForums netiquette transcend to other internet forums?

I am a member of a currency trading forum and there is an obvious difference in netiquette between there and Bike Forums. I've grown tired of the typical boring trading discussion and am starting to post random, asinine threads just to boost moral and have fun. We'll see how it plays out.

Have any of you had any difficulties, possible bans, from other sites because you maintained your BF persona on the other site?

I am who I am, no matter what forum I'm on. Although I may downplay the, um, sexual innuendos on the other forum I'm on--too many uptight women that don't get the jokes. :D

I really do not go to other forums. I feel that if I posted like I do here, I would not be well received. Plus, I barely have time for this addiction, the last thing I need is another place to spend 12-18 hours per day. Pretty soon I would be online 33 hours per day.

I post on a cooking site also. They stick to business most of the time. There's hardly any
silly, fun posts or random stuff. It is still a good place for getting cooking info, so I don't
mind too much.

On the sosuave.net forum the Don Juans are all pretty liberal.

I'm much more of a know-it-all, d!ckhead, jerk, and misanthropic arsehole on every other board I'm on, compared to this one. I haven't been here long enough to determine the proper amount of "Platy" to use. I have two boards of my own, and mod on another one, which are completely uncensored, so it's hard for me to "nicify" my posts for here.

Good photo forums are rare.
I get tired of the egos on Photo.net and tired of the squirrel pics that seem to be the majority of images on other photo sites.
Tuna's shots are good.

I'm getting a lot of haters in the other forums. Very frustrating. I prefer the haters here.

Ah those people are fun... had one of those on another site I go to, claims to be an "economy genius", running businesses, making money, blah blah blah...

Till he claimed he paid upwards of 45% in income tax, one of our business finance majors called bull****, I backed him up (just so coincidentally have just taken business math and covered finances and calculating income tax and how income tax margins work). He still avoids the topic every time it's brought up.

Maybe trying to make a currency trading forum fun is less worthwhile than merely finding a fun forum to post on.

Ask miamijim what he thinks about moderating differences between this forum and others. :lol:

i'm in the road forum mostly, and if I pulled that attitude on the car forums I frequent...it'd be bad

Most of the forums I go to are very lightly modded, although I've tried a couple Buddhist forums and I can't seem to find one that isn't overmodded as hell, I mean, you can't even broach the subject of whether or not rebirth is literal? What kind of **** is that?

BF is the best though, none of the others are capable of holding my interest, and it sort of spoils you and then you go to another forum, ask a question, and have to wait two weeks before someone replies.
