I currently bought a used bike which comes with 2 set of wheels. Since they are both consider race wheels, I'm wondering which one should I use in a training basis, since I am not deciding to buy a pair of training wheels for now. Or maybe you can recommand something that's cheap (I'm just a student that started this sport) for training, but wheel size is 650 not 700. Thank you.

Spinergys have been known to fail. Rolfs are bomb proof. I'd sell the spinergys and use the Rolfs all the time.

Thanks Kyle, but I thought in Triathlon or Time Trial, Aerodynamicity has more advantage on the bike portion of the race. Rolf is bomb proof and light weight; I assume it can gain me some adv on some hilly terrain. On the other hand, rev-x is more aero, but it does weight more. Although it does not start up as quick as Rolf, it certainly spins forever...

Train and ride on the Rolfs and just stick the Rev X's on for races. I've heard of catastrophic failures with the Spinergy wheels so I would not risk riding on them too often. What kind of bike did you get?

That's what I'm planning to do. Thanks for your advise =). I'm pretty short for a guy 5'4..... so I was riding a fuji 2002 finest roadbike. Which is a female designed road bike. I saw a cannondale multisport 4000 on craigslist. The model is 1999, but the bike is bought around 2000-2001. It comes with a set of spinergy and the rolf x pro. Compare to the fuji, the component on the cannondale is definitely better. Even though it may weight similar, the cannondale's frame geometry suppose to be more aero. But since it is a 49cm frame, it uses 650 instead of 700. So how long you've been doing tris? And what do you use?

That sounds like a good deal, the Cannondale Multisports were pretty cool. That's great that you got two sets of wheels with it.

I've done cycling in the past and this past summer was my first year doing tris. I built up a Trek Y-Foil frame into a Tri bike. Add me on facebook and we can talk more if you want.
