I weigh slightly less than you, and am used to smashing rear wheels, and braking spokes. I bought the Cosmic Elites, and love them. They are probably the heaviest wheelset mavic makes, but they are strong strong strong. I love them so much, i bought another pair, BTW you got a great price on them!

You may notice that the non drive side spokes on the rear will start to turn a bit and act like paddles instead of blades. You can take something with a notch in it, and turn them back. As they settle in, you may have to true them once, if you re align the spokes at that time, they should stay put. I have also read that a drop of loc tite or similair fluid on each spoke at the hub will keep them from turning.

LBS has Mavic cosmic elite, I believe new model is the Ksyrium Equipe. I'm 225 lbs 5'9". Have stock Richey's on my bike broke a few spokes so I want to upgrade. Price he gave me was $225. What do you Think? Funds are low can't go much higher. Will be doing centuries on wheels.

horses and bicycle wheels do not mix. i wouldn't have gotten them for your horse.
