1st off, I know i misspelled apprentice in the title. For some reason it won't let me edit.

I'm looking for a local frame builder to apprentice with. No job too menial. My goal is to learn to build lugged or braised steel track/road/cross frames.

My primary interest is in frame painting, and restoration. I have some experience, but not much to speak of. 12yrs as a mechanic in high end bike shops. PM for resume/referrences. Thanks in advance.

PS would be willing to travel to portland to learn.

My experience- personal contact is everything. They are rare, but there are apprenticeships out there if you do the legwork. Time to go meet some people!
Good luck.
