From the headtube length, it looks bigger than a 56cm. More like a 58-59, or is that track frame geometry?

Well, it's not to badly priced. I think the next time I go to Japan I'm gonna have to pick up a few from the circuit.

That's cool and all... But could somebody tell me why they are so special, especially considering that most of us who call the US home won't ever ride on a Keirin Track?

style points...not a whole lot of them here. Plus, Keirin is pretty unique.

The keirin frames that I have seen in person- 3Rensho, Nagasawa, and Gan Well Pro, have been unbelievably beautiful bikes. For me, it's not the NJS stamp, I'd say the same thing about a Merckx, DeRosa, Masi etc. IMO same with the parts- Sugino chainrings, Suzue NJS hubs, Hatta headsets- they are all really f***ing nice.

Karstens,

My New Year Resolution was to be less pendatic (sic).

To demonstrate that I am following through, I'm not going to ask 165 to explain how he is able to quantify uniqueness.

So, I'm being good, right?

What does "pendatic" mean?

Well, nothing, but that is how Karstens likes to spell it.

Pedantic, however, means:

narrowly, stodgily, and often ostentatiously learned...one who is unimaginative or who unduly emphasizes minutiae in the presentation or use of knowledge.

The pendatic version that I use is a one off us pedantic. Has to do with a pendulum, and pendant. The idea that a pendulum swings back and forth in an exact set of parameters, and an exact time frame. And only those parameters are valid. Even if they don't meet a set of norms that are expected in real life. The pendant, in that the top of a pendulum has a little "weight" at the top, is to symbolize that some people carry a pendant from a pendulum with them, expecting all to swing and tic with in a certain manner, and that all else that doesn't meet this logic is wrong and out of conformity.

Basically, its my special way of saying that some people who use vocubulary with multisyllable words are obtuse in thier manner of describing and ascribing whats right and wrong on others.

Or, that some people are pig headed and narrow minded.

Or, I'm just saying that someone's being an *******.

Or.. I don't know. My mind rambles soooo much it's hard to know.

But I will respond for the sake of all humanity:
I don't have one. You don't have one, Skitbraviking does not have one. WK does not have one. Superchivo does not have one. Most people here in the US do not have one. Therefore, they are unique. As far as Keirin itself (I meant to say "Keirin Frames"), we do not have true Keirin-styled races (by this I mean Keirin is a legalized gambling event) with track events out here. Hell, if we did, I'd be there.

having seen a nagasawa in person, i have to say that the craftsmanship is impeccable. the lugs are beautiful, hell, the dropouts are LUGGED to the frame. they're just really really detailed. with the metalworking and in the paint. that and they're pretty rare over here is enough to make me lust after one. i also lust after an orange-red 70s colnago frame. i have about a snowballs chance in hell of owning either. it's just nice to look and think DAMN....

Yeah, but where's Debo?

Five steps back and two out of sight.
Just waiting for you to get off your bike.
You try try to run and you try to hide.
But DeeBo knows where to lift your ride.
Better ride fast and not go too slow.
'cuz DeeBo's coming for your 3Rensho.

If you’re Lucky I won’t steal your shoes.

My reason for being: Your bike I must own

to be pedantic, you don't own something that you've stolen. You're just in wrongful possession. Property is like a bundle of sticks. You're in possession, but you still only have some of the bundle. The rightful owner has more.
