Not exactly vintage/retro (~1990), but getting there. Thought the (nearly) full C-Record might qualify me.

This is my first race bike, thoroughly abused and built with a complete hodge-podge of disposable (ie: mis-matched Shimano) bits for most of its life. But my stable and my income are recently to a point which allowed me to have it repainted (yes, that's the original color) and source a bunch of bling to rebuild it in its true Italian glory.

A Scapin EL-OS (fillet brazed head tube & seat cluster, TIGed at the DT & ST/BB, lugged chainstays/BB...weird), Mondonico EL fork (OEM was painted EL-OS unicrown...wanted chrome), 8-speed C-Rec drivetrain (Chorus RD), 5-pivot Deltas, Grammo stem & 65/40 bars, FIR silver box-section tubies waiting to be built. Needs a steerer trim. 54x54cm, 21.5lbs.

very nice, despite the color ;), I didn't know Scapin went in for that sort of construction (fillet and TiG) but they are very skilled builders.

Not my "cup of tea", but you've certainly done a nice job of restoring it. It does have a very clean look to it.

It looks like we're about the same size.

Nice bike! I briefly picked one up on the CL and sold it to a friend a couple of years ago. Very light, and nice ride quality.

Well done. It definitely deserves to be back in action, and looks great with the C Record.

Any bike looks good with C record!!
It was way out of price range when it came out so I rode my NR those days with (the only thing affordable was Shimano Aero levers, dang Campy aeros were sooooo much $$$)

Great bike. I remember selling those frames in Brooklyn bike shop I worked at.

Yes, nice it is. Had the oppertunity to see many Scapins from up close. Very nice frames.

Like the aesthetics of the whole picture too.

Looks brand new, nice work! Nothing wrong with screamingly bright paint, If it's going to be loud it may as well be LOUD. I like it

I believe it was considered "Record" by this era (at least, as soon as slant-parallelogram RD's popped up).
