Cambridge MA is where I first saw folders on the street and in use. I saw one, and as I looked around, saw others occasionally. Must have been pure coincidence, because when I lived in the area, I hardly saw one.

One of the commenters is Elton from Harris Cyclery. Nice guy, helped me source some parts for a commuter bike I built.

These bikes are the only ones I can use now. The major concern or potential problem the article brought up for the aging folder:

"....that folding bikes require hard-to-find parts when something breaks, which only add to their cost....."

This is something I must address soon as my own bikes age. Otherwise I don't see the major difference between my old standard bikes and the folders-except the butterflies I have in my belly about whether or not the bike is not gone when I return outside because they are always with me not dependent on a lock and luck.
