Hello, can anyone help. I am going to but an elecric bike for my husband for his birthday. This is for generl cycle trailling and not fast racing. He is 5 ft 10 inch and about 16 stone. Any assistance would be great as the more I read the more confused I get. Thanks:twitchy:

What sort of budget are you looking to work within?

How far would he like to be able to ride on an electric bicycle?

Are there any particular styles of bicycle that he likes?

I can help narrow it down, but need a bit more = )

Hello, thanks for responding. He will not go to far its for getting him to ride with the kids whom are four years old. Money wise u to about £840 uk pounds. A mountain bike would probally be best as he would not like anythinggirly!

Do you mean he will be towing the kids in a trailer? It might be useful to know which country you are in.

Well, from weighing him in stones and mentioning the UK £, I would presume the UK. Although there might be other spots around there that use that currency?

£840 is quite a bit of CAD, if I recall. You could buy a good electric bicycle on that budget.

There seems to be a UK based website which has good information and some links to regional retailers and manufacturers.

Unfortunately, I can't help you directly with pricing out the value of them. I know that the laws are different in the UK for electric bikes, as are the prices. But there are a few step over bikes on that website alone that cost under the 840 pound budget line for you.

If you find any that you like, I will do my best to provide some input on it :)
