At the bottom of every post, there is a "quote" button. This works the same as the reply button. The quote and authors name is automatically written. I hope this was what you were asking.

Thanks. I always used the reply then the quote button that's present there. Of couse that method doesn't add the author's name.

On that note, how do you quote several previous posters in a response? I've seen people do it, and the quote has a little box around it, but I can't figure out how to do it.

When posting, click the http://www.bikeforums.net/images/editor/quote.gif icon. A pop-up window will appear with a box for the quoted text. Either copy/paste the text there, or type something to be replaced later. If you want the Original Poster's name to appear, once the Quote Block shows up in the post window, type "=quotedposter'sname" between the E and the ].
