Hey all-
I'm looking to buy my dad a new jersey for Christmas, and I wanted to get him one that would benefit a charity. (And by that, I mean the cost of it actually goes back into supporting the charity... preferably more than 50% of the cost. :))

I really wanted to get him a Bike Rwanda jersey, but unfortunately they don't have his size in stock and might not have it in time for Christmas. Can any of you recommend a worthy charity that sells bike jerseys? The only one I've found so far is Major Taylor, the rest are mostly regional ones that support local biking clubs and the like.

There's always the Livestrong (http://www.store-laf.org/cycling.html) jerseys. No matter what a person's opinion of Lance Armstrong may be, the Lance Armstrong Foundation is, by all accounts, a good organization.

Very true. Dad and I are both Lance fans (saw him in the TdF in 2004 -- great year :)), but I wanted something a little more unique. I might just order the Project Rwanda jersey and have it shipped directly to him once they're back in stock... since the snow doesn't melt where he lives until at least May!

My son has Leukemia, and for 2008 I've been using cycling to raise funds in his honor. As part of the fund raising I had a jersey made. There are a few left if your interested.

They are $75 and 100% goes to CURE Search Athletics. If your interested let me know the what size you need and I'll see if we have one. You can then go to www.active.com/donate/csathletics/repolk and make a $75 donation. Then send me your mailing address and I'll send it to you (I'll cover the shipping).

Hincapie made the Jersey for me, PM me and I'll send you a copy of the Artwork.
