Hey, I'm a roadie with a 10-year old Specialized Rockhopper sitting in my garage that I never ride. It's in good shape for a MTB that old because I only ride it once or twice a year. It's got a steel frame w/ Shimano STX components and Rock Shox forks. I'm not sure how MTBs are sized but the seat tube measures 17" center-top. What would you ask for a MTB like this if trying to sell locally on Craigslist? I don't want to eBay it because I don't want to pack and ship it.

I have a good idea of the value of road bikes but I'm clueless about MTBs. Thanks.

$50-$150, depending on how desperate you are to sell it...

Actually, I had a guy drive from your area all the way to where I live (west of Winston Salem) to buy a lower end Fisher I was selling for $200...so you might be able to get $200.

You don't have to ship or post items that you sell on eBay if you don't want to, items can be advertised as 'Local pickup only'

Probably a Comp because it has a steel frame and mid-level components.
