Hi, I just found this place, it looks like a lot of fun. Somehow, even though I commute 16 mi. daily on my RockHopper, I never think of it as a hobby or an interest, its just part of my life. Its how I stay fit, solve problems on the way to work, stay in touch with the world and the elements, avoid stress, and start and end my work day. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I do have things in my life I consider hobbies and interests: home shop machinist starting to learn CNC, low brass musician in the San Jose Wind Symphony, Abysinian Cats, California native plants & horticulture, a 1964 Porsche, and a wonderful family consisting of my wife, 30 yr. old daughter and Fredy the cat.

I'm a California native, grew up in Carmel, live on the slopes of Mt. Toro on weekends, and live and work in San Jose during the week.

How did the cat get named Fredy?

Fredy is a red abyssinian. He talks constantly, has an insatiable appetite, loves to jump amazing distances and heights, knocks things off when he lands. He was named after Carl Lewis, whose first name happens to be Frederick and had set the long jump record of 28 ft. plus.
