I don't think Johnson has enough gas left in the tank after wrapping up the overall in the USGP series, but without the possibility of any real sloppy conditions I doubt we'll see Tree-Farm reclaim the stars and stripes.
This year might be the year of the underdog. There is quite the grip of young guys coming up who've been riding really strong; Driscoll, Anthony, Wells the younger.
I'll go ahead and say that Todd Wells will wear the stars and stripes again after 4 years (didn't he win it last in '04?).

I don't know...can you really count Jesse Anthony as an underdog at an event he's won 7 times?
I've really don't have any predictions, but I'm enjoying the CXMagazine live update feed.
trebon. dude's gunnin' for it after what happened last year (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32q1oJtNDrQ).

Jesse Anthony won the Stars and Stripes?
When was this?
Wells won last in '05 - Providence. '04 was JP in Portland.
Jesse might have won Juniors and U23 before, but I don't know anything about him winning the Elite race.

I hope TJ wins again, but it would be even greater to see J-Pow pull out an amazing ride and win it.

Jesse Anthony apparently won Nats 1999-2004 and 2006. Probably Juniors and U23 like ryan said. 2006 could have been an elite win? Nope...u23 I just checked
I'd like to see Trebone over Johnson, but agree that Powers would be great to see.
Wells has had an awesome last four or five weeks, but can he hold the power? Maybe.
I want Jamey Driscoll to win, just because the moustache.

Tree Farm.
Ignoring his consecutive victories at 'Cross Vegas, Tree Farm needs some real slop to really shine.
I've this gut feeling the Wells wants to taste glory again.
hate to say "i told you so (http://www.velonews.com/article/85966/trebon-overpowers-star-studded-field-to-win-second--cross)."
driscoll in second and jesse coming in fourth. very impressive. sounds like it was an awesome race.

I picked the underdog, Trebon was the obvious pick.
Happy to see Tree-Farm back in the Stars and Stripes.
