Hello everyone. I recently purchased a used 2006 Kona Lana'i off of CL because I was interested in bicycle commuting and thought it might be nice to have a bike for recreational use also. Right now I am still getting back into shape by driving to the nearest park and ride, loading my bike on the bus, then riding my bike about 1.5 miles to work from the bus stop. When I feel like I'm in good enough shape, I'll take on the 5.1 mile ride to the park and ride too.

I'm a bit of a closet enviro-nut, so I really enjoy knowing that I'm reducing the amount of fuel burned and cars on the road. I do other things like gardening (vegetable), rainwater collection, composting, and recycling. I drive a fairly efficient vehicle, but I think every little bit helps.

Glad to meet you all and I look forward to posting in the future. :thumb:

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Its take time to get stronger.
But you should notice a difference every week that you ride.

Welcome to BF. Glad to see you have the bike commuting bug. :thumb:
And happy birthday, 3 days late. I'll be twice your age in one more week.
