Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sounds like fun to be had there- not sure how I would work the details on it- the biggest problem most of us face is being able to take that much time off work in the first place! Good luck with the trip.

Yeah it helps when you own your own business and the wife doesn't agrees to watch things on the homefront. It was a bit crazy for me to have taken off in this economy.

But if I had done the responsible thing I would have missed out on a lot of fun times.

Dang! I have a million and two things I've gotta get done on the limited internet time I've got - and you have to post that!! I'll have to take time later to read it... I did read just a bit of the first page and had to laugh about your reaction when you met the Japanese guy headed to Tierra del Fuego - it sounds like me!! I had left my husband and kids in northern California to go home to take care of my mom for a month - and they went and met some cyclists doing the Alaska - Argentina route. John wrote and BEGGED me to keep going south rather than staying in North America for the year. At the time I thought he was nuts/loony/lost his senses, etc... But now - two years later - we're doing it!!

But - good for you for getting out there and DOING it!! We are loving the time we have with our sons on our bike tour, and can't see that we will ever regret doing it.

No you won't regret it. They grow-up so fast. 10 is a magical age and mom and dad are still super heros. Eventually you will become mere mortals in there eyes and then a few notches below that. Great job enjoyed watching your videos. We think you passed thru our town on your way. We live in Price Utah
