Horrible.

It looks like a bunch of random parts got welded together and the lines have no flow.

How about this one? Any 6'3" 400lb gorilla sprinters?

Some of the ugliest frames ever contrived. The lines are all wrong.

why does that last one have a bunch of unnecessary pieces of steel welded to it?

Jabba Degrassi

^huh?

All that reinforcement would probably make that one tough frame. Replace the carbon fork and it's teh ultimatez trick biekz.

Spicer frames are god awful uglys.
I also always relate the name to the Spice Girls for some reason...

When you think of it. Imagine some really talented 6'5" guy on it pulling insane air on it. The thing would probably not even budge getting air over a 20 stairs.

I'll forgive him for that frame, since he built it for himself.

I have to like Spicer.... they're local.
They DO have some nice, affordable frames, though....

^OMG you broke out the seat tubeless 'Guch. The guy who owns that has the most insane stories ever about scoring his rare bikes. It's on his blog but I don't remember his name to find it. Anyone??

The lines are all wrong.

I like the idea that a bike frame is a very small bridge design -- it's the resolution of forces in an expedient, simple way -- just like a bridge. This Spicer frame seems to be going around its elbow to do what can be done very simply... like a contortionist. Hence the feeling some of us have that the frame is a bit freakish.

Either way, the market will decide how much the lovers of this design really love it.

When first offered, the auction started at $799 and could be purchased for $999. It has been relisted starting at $350 and can be purchased at $450.

I think the first frame looks good. I love the asymmetric 'seatstay' too.

I like the first frame. I wouldn't imagine it to be ideal from any kind of performance standpoint of course, but if I just wanted to make something cool and different then it would be a neat design to use.
