Not the way you would think though. I was riding my roadie through a gas station. The cap to the underground tank took me out. Looking back at it, there were radial ridges coming off of the cap. Hitting one of these just the right way took me out in a way not entirely lunike hitting non-perpendicular train tracks the wrong way. Look out for these things.
