I"m only 23, but when my teenaged students tell me that they don't know the kid's shows that I used to watch (Eureeka's Castle, David the Gnome, etc), I can feel my hips creaking already. Friday I asked them what the Persian Gulf war was, and they didn't even know where Persia or the Persian gulf was. One asked "isn't it the water by Louisiana?" *smacks forehead*

If Ren & Stimpy or Rocko's Modern Life came out today, I have a feeling that Nickelodeon execs would laugh them out of the building. They'd end up on Adult Swim or one of those stupid "extreeeeeeme!" cable networks, bookended by ultimate fighting and... ultimate fighting.
