I could go on an on. There's just so much to enjoy.

Summer.

One specific type of moment though:

Driving my Oldsmobile on a country road with big, wide sweepers, not even going all that fast, with the windows down, the music off, and nothing but the rumble of the engine and a girlfriend in the passenger seat illuminated by the dash lights.

Nothing better.


Second best: There's a place near my home where no cars go down this road after 11:00 PM or so. it's surrounded by cornfields, you can hear sheep about 5 miles away, there are no mosquitoes and you can see every star in the sky. When I worked at the summer camp, every evening I would drive my Olds out there, park on the side of the road and stare at the stars.

ETA: that second one is the only time when my life actually felt complete.

Sleeping in. I don't get nearly enough sleep.

The endorphin rush feeling you get after a good workout
being productive
feeling as an integral part of what's going on for better or worse
hanging out with good conversation and good coffee
feeling accomplished, even if it's just getting laundry done and dress shirts ironed
really good electronic music
dancing to really good electronic music
cooking, especially if I just wing it and it comes out great
walking my dog downtown or longboarding on a summer night

What is in my thoughts, my soul and my heart is my happiness. Nothing or nobody can do that for me. It should be from within. :)

Morning shavetime after a days whisker growth makes me happy.
Great hot shaving lather from a good fragrant shaving soap. (preferably an olive oil based soap)
A nice thick badgerhair shaving brush.
My best straightblade, stropped just minutes before on my leather strop.
Three passes (lather up with fragrant hot lather and shave with each pass)
Cold rinse and my favorite Pinuad Clubman aftershave. A dab of Nivea aftershave balm to to finish off. Life doesn't get better.:p Morning shave is the closest that most men will ever get to aromatherapy.
