Depends. If I'm ordering steak-fries, or fries with battered fish, then it's vinegar and lemon FTW. If they just come as fries, it's ketchup, but if I can order it, chili with the fake nacho cheese...

if bf does, then that means 97.7% of bf aren't dyslexic, or borderline illiterate, after all. they're merely sight-impaired.

Need to get some cheese and mix in a can of chili to pour over those fries.
1 part ketchup + 1 part A1 steak sauce = pure awesomeness.

ketchup spiked with hot sauce
Horse radish sauce!! If you had that choice, it would've been my 1st choice...
Ketchup & mayo mixed rocks! Local McD's had ketchup mayo cups pre-made because it was so popular in the area. Also, McD's Big Mac sauce is super good as well.

I crushed the potatoes with my bare hands and pulverized the knife into fine powder for my daily source of iron.
Mashed potatoes don't make for the best french fries.

I really don't eat fries anymore.
Working at a fast food restuarant, I'm amazed and appalled at how many people slather their french fries in creamy ranch dip. It's crazy! It must be a Phoenix/Southwest thing, because I never saw this trend back east. Ranch on Fries.....nasty!!!:twitchy:

When I worked in fast food I would alternate between mayo, ketchup and mayo, bbq sauce, and mayo and bbq sauce.
Nowadays I eat fries like once a month. Usually steal them from my son or wife.
I really don't eat fries anymore. How can you not eat something so uniquely all-American as French Fries?

After trying it at a local brewpub, equal parts of mayo and BBQ sauce mixed together work well.
I drink the oil cold and then eat a fry baby.
I [...] eat [...] baby.As I suspected. Infantibalism and poor grammar.

For "generic" fries (McD's and similar), just ketchup.
For fresh cut 'wedge'-style with the skin on, its a dash of seasoning salt and malt vinegar.

I am that guy, but I've seen a few other people on this thread who use ranch dressing on their fries, so I feel like less of a freak now.
Somebody suggested it might be a southwest thing, but I picked up on it in the midwest. Ranch dressing is also really good on beer battered onion rings.
