General Cycling Discussion - Weekday Club Rides

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This is just out of curiosity but why do clubs have so many rides during weekdays? I see clubs that have rides around 8-9am almost anyday of the week. I'm at work between 7-7:30am and couldn't ride during the week unless it's a holiday or I take a day off. Of course, there's weekend rides, too; but I just wondering about this.

I'd guess it's because there was a goup of people who wanted to ride together at that time.
People who work evenings and nights, teachers who are off all summer, retirees, just to name a few.

You mean not everybody works 7-4?
I work 1130a-8p and love riding in the morning. I feel ALIVE at work.

my club runs rides tuesday and thursday nights at 6pm... and wednesday morning they have a brunch ride... usually 35-40 miles with brunch somewhere in between....
I think mid week club rides come out of enough people wanting to ride during those times
if you map it, they will ride
