Foo - If a journalist threw his shoes at you?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I found the recent story quite humorous and was surprised that it was even taken to trial.

Anyone know how to adjust caliper brakes on a 1987 Trek 8000 with Ritchey levers?
I did not put this in mechanics, because I do not expect it to get mechanical.

Fail.
You're already a tool.
;)
Hey, if the shoe fits, wear it. If it don't, throw it at a world leader.

The following facts are true:
1) I wear a size 10 shoe
2) I have two of them at all times (sometimes none, but never just one)
3) Prez Bush is scheduled to visit soon
4) I live in a country that Prez Bush describes as "Free".
Should I change careers and become a journalist?

Well..... yes, it would have been as a matter of fact. That way he can fix his caliper brakes.
by strict semantic definition shoes belong on feet. He threw his shoes at a world leader.
Not that it was necessarily intended as derogatory or negatively.

Unless they are clogssaints. They may be taken off and eaten for breakfast.

Yes, it IS your bad, and no, it DOESN'T make it cool. ;) Please do not come into Foo as you would in mtb. If you want to reply in snarky ways, the Foosters won't put up with that. It is waaay different here.

Ok dont get angry with me, there was no harm aimed in my comment, and I dont think I sent Jsharr away crying either.

Well, with a party past like his, I'm sure he's developed that skill quite well. :D

It would depend on the size and quality of the show. A pair of really nice Italian loafers in my size? I'd duck and he'd go home barefoot.

Try throwing your cowboy boot at it.

In Iraq? Italian loafers? I'm thinking they were closer to roman sandals.

Are we referring to Bush as "it" now? I'm cool with that. :D
Cowboy boots do have the heft but I don't think they have the aerodynamics to be a good throwing weapon, maybe more a bludgeoning instrument.

No way am I gonna scratch up my Noconas or Tony Lamas by throwing them at my bike. Plus, even with a boot jack, it takes me a bit of time to get the boots off.

I got a tool, but sadly it is a stubby phillips with a worn tip and it really does not screw very well anymore.

I already have one. You've never heard of Chip and Dale? But we always get confused with those damned Chippendale dudes, which is why we decided we needed a sidekick named Stubby, for contrast.

I'm disappointed that George didn't catch the flying shoes, anyone with great reflexes would have.
And I read today that the thrower is nursing broken bones now, seems they play rough over there. :)
Or,,,, Just think if this had been another shoe bomber, What do you do when a JOURNALIST throws a bomb at you? You catch it, activate the timer and throw it back.
