Cowboy boots do have the heft but I don't think they have the aerodynamics to be a good throwing weapon, maybe more a bludgeoning instrument.

No way am I gonna scratch up my Noconas or Tony Lamas by throwing them at my bike. Plus, even with a boot jack, it takes me a bit of time to get the boots off.

Remember the scene in Fight CLub where Brad Pitt beats Ed Norton with his own shoe? yeah, kinda like that.
