Wow. I thought the Frisco Airport died ages ago.

hah! great pic - I found that site http://www.airfields-freeman.com quite by accident a while back - remember Hartlee Field up near Denton? My first ever long touristy type group ride, with the Richardson Bicycle Touring Club (now GDB) went up there. an 80+ mile day on my Schwinn Varsity, and a ride in a glider.

Hartlee Field must have been before my time here in the metroplex (only 16 years).
Nonetheless, interesting ride you took (both on the ground and in the air).
Wonder where that Varsity is today?
I do live within 10,000 ft of Air-Park Dallas (it's at south of Park, west of DNT).
Unfortunately, Crow Billingsley wants to shut it down to profit from the appreciated property and is being assisted by City of Carrollton.
I feel bad for the homeowners along the runway.

I was in McKinney on business for a couple of days last Monday thru Wednesday. It was just starting to get cold there when I headed south and did this ride the following Friday:
