Northeast - Salem trails

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Any good trails/ riding areas around Salem? planning a trip there in June or July staying in motels and camping and will need a place to stretch my legs after the drive from South Bend, IN. mainly want mtb trails.

Check out Winter Island if you going to camp
Ed
Salem, Massachusetts then i assume! we took the ferry from cape-cod to Boston, then straight to the train. we rode 2 to 3 miles after drop-off from train to Winter Island (mentioned above). really neat place near the water. cool place to look into sea air-planes (hangers) if you have the time. we camped in the ammunition hold areas (good for if it rains and you have a self standing tent). there were ample misquitoes!!
if you can fit cape-cod in, there are good camps there and a good paved trail to ferry port in the north (but that's cape-cod).
have fun!
