After reading a few threads I got myself a Husky. I already had the TF and a Mini-MagLite and took some pics for BF...

Here is the Husky in it's package (I already had taken out the 2 size D batteries):

And here a few shots of a plastic table with the Husky under it...

My test ride...

I went out today and 7pm, it was total darkness out there. The Husky throws a lot more light to the sides (wider pattern) than the Task Force. Enough to see very well even on curves. It also trows a whole more light forward. No much light it's scary. If that's 200 lumens, I can't imagine what a P7 must be like... :D

Pros...
1) Its freaking BRIGHT!
2) Ready available NOW @ your local Home Depot.
3) Uses D batteries, available everywhere... and I LOVE "D" Sizes :innocent:

Cons...
1) Batteries rattle a lot. Must use the electrical tape trick or something... otherwise the rattle will drive you crazy.
2) Kinda heavy, big and bulky.
3) You might as well spend a little more a get a P7 already.

In conclusion, I like the lots of light but is kinda bulky. Is still the best I got and will be my primary light for now. But I'll try the P7 later on. Still good as backup.

And yes.. trows a lot more light than the TF!

PS: Feel free to use the pics on any other Task Force, Husky or Mini Maglite threads.

The rattling bothered me, so I taped the batteries togther with 2 pieces of duct tape, each piece runs lengthwise....no more rattles

Yes... I did something similar with the Task Force and it worked nicely. I just forgot to do it with the Husky... too impatient... had to try it out asap. :o
