Introductions - new cyclist

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Welcome. You have a good start.
You will get stronger each week.
Ride Safe.
20 miles a day does sound like alot for someone your age new to cycling . . . but, of course that depends on your level of fitness.

Not at all!
However, you may find that taking a day or two off per week is helpful.
You should look at the 50+ forum here on BikeForums, lots of riders over there do those kinds of distances (and more) on a regular basis.
Also, you can pick up some good training and equipment tips as well.
