Hi exec,

I used to live in Osaka, in Tennoji. Shikoku is cool. Especially Kochi and Ehime prefectures. City of Matsuyama is a must. Also, if you get a chance to cycle in Kyushu I'd highly recommend it. Down around Kagoshima and Mt. Aso are really great. Taking the ferry from Osaka to Matsuyama in Shikoku or to Southern Kyushu is an ideal way to get to the start point of your cycle tour. Some good cycling too in the hills between Osaka and Kyoto. You can just take the Hankyu train towards Kyoto and get off at one of the small stations.

Enjoy!

I'm considering doing it on a road bike.
I'm going to cycle all the way to shikoku, from osaka, through awaji island. I am thinking if shikoku is too far for me (there is a limit of time, winter break), I would just take a one-round tour around awaji island.
Yea, kyushu would be my destinations too, on some next tours, ha!
