Road Cycling - Picked up New Bike Today-Bianchi Veloce

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just picked up my new bike today. A 2003 model Veloce. Celeste (of course). Only got to ride it a few miles before dark, but have to go to the office tomorrow. Plan on taking it with me and making the 25 mile ride home. Can't wait!

Sweet. I've been looking at one of those to replace my current bike when the time comes. Of course, if my parts project on this one works out, I'll do a parts swap before selling my current bike.

Rode about 25 miles today. Great ride! Tried posting a pic, but can't get it to work. I'll try again later.

you are worthy of that bike. enjoy.
Here's a pic. Had a problem with the seatpost. Seat keeps coming loose and tilting. Took it back to the shop, and they worked on it, but still not right. They offered to send it back to Bianchi, but I'm just going to put a Thomson on it.
nice bike, but "i" personally don't like the colour at all

Congrats! That's my bike exactly! Got mine last August. Personally, I love the paint job. Welcome to the Celeste Army. Didn't have any seatpost problems, but had to change out the stem for a shorter one. I've found it to be very comfortable, quick, and fast. I also really like the Campy Veloce shifters - I've found them to be precise and easy to use, especially if you keep them clean and lubed. Pick up some Pro Link lube, you won't be disappointed. The only problem I've experienced is having to clean the bugs out of my teeth after every ride. I just can't help smiling every time I take a ride.

Nice bike. Im sure you'll put many thousands of miles on it...
I almost bought a Bianchi today. It was an older model and the components were rusted like ive never seen rust before...but the frame was in mint condition. It was only $50CDN....the only thing that stopped me was not having $50 in cash or a way to get it home (I need to stop going out with friends without bike racks :D)
Visigoth! :)More likely Vandal.

That's too bad. Maybe you can get a raise this year and get a good bike.

Sweet Bike, and I LOVE the COLOR !!!!!!! :D
Nice bike! I'm picking up a 2002 Imola in the next week or so (when the weather improves and my schedule allows). Already have a down payment on her! :)
Oh, and speaking of Celeste, I think everyone here should visit this thread: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=49576 and thank Underwear Nazi for using a Celeste-like color on his bumper sticker! :D

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Imola. I've only put about 50 miles on my Veloce so far, but it is a great ride!

It's OK to not like the color. Personally I think all Bianchis should be solid Celeste. It is their trademark-a standout. Most marques would love to have that recognition. I have an old Bianchi that is Celeste and I LOVE IT!

Wow, lots of people getting Bianchis these days. My dad has a Bianchi track bike. As for road for him, he wants a Litespeed.

Ah so there is intelligence west of the Mississippi. ;-)
Comes in a better color too.
