sounds like there was a DNS issue with the domain. The reason different users are getting different results is because the users local DNS server has yet to receive the DNS updates from the domains DNS server.

Unless it's looking for certain user agent substrings or just checking the browser in general.

can you explain this a little more. I am not sure how a DNS issue is going to affect the way different browsers handle it.

Ah, I wasn't talking about a DNS issue. Just that it's possible for a site fail in certain browsers.
