as some of you might recall, im looking to shed some rotational weight off my jamis komodo. i have a pretty heavy wheelset now, joytech hubs with alex dm-20 rims. i can't afford to upgrade the wheelset now, so im looking to replace my specialized enduro sport tires. they are pretty beefy, maybe 2.2? large knobs, thick rubber. ive been looking at a few different tires- python airlights, kenda klimaxes, and michelin comp s lights. the pythons and kendas are much cheaper, almost half the price of the michelins, so im kinda leaning towards them. after reading reviews on those 3 tires, im kinda leaning toward the pythons. weight is important, since im trying to shed it, but i also want something that is not strictly for flat, smooth, hardpack. i want a good all around tire. i hear the fire xc pros fit the bill, but they are about 200 grams heavier than the others (not that big of deal, so i will still consider them). anyway, any thoughts on which tire would be best? i dont necessarily want a super wimpy race only tire, but i do want to lighten up my wheels a noticable amount.
edit: i should mention that i mostly ride dry, hardpack singletrack. some roots, rocks, and sand. occasional mud. 95% of what i ride is tight singletrack though
